ECHR final amendments
We have been engaging closely with Lord Vaux on the matter of the register of overseas (ROE) amendments within the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency (ECHR) This included advising on potential changes that can be made to bring ROE in line with the persons of significant control (PSC) regime. Lord Vaux dropped his unworkable amendment on reporting updates to ROE, and thanked the Law Society, noting “helpful and constructive engagement in many meetings over the recess to try to find a solution to this.”
