Our climate change guidance is mentioned in a commentary piece by the Gazette editor Paul Rogerson, who said: “Chancery Lane will doubtless come in for criticism for allegedly being ‘woke’ here. That is unfair and, more to the point, otiose.
“Solicitors and firms need to reappraise how they practise, in order to pre-empt the headaches that may arise from fast-evolving attitudes to climate change in business and wider society. They risk losing good business – and good staff – if they fail.”

Trainees at risk
Legal Cheek looks at the future for trainees at law firm Ince, which has gone into administration.
A Law Society spokesperson said: “We offer our support to the cohort of trainees and future trainee solicitors at Ince who are facing uncertainty at the announcement of the firm falling into administration.
“If appropriate, these future lawyers should have the opportunity to transfer training contracts elsewhere so they can become fully qualified.”
