Pace of change in law accelerates
The FT looks at the reaction to the murder of George Floyd last year in legal services. The article notes that many law firms put out statements and subsequently some published targets for greater diversity. The article cites our Race for Inclusion 2020 (£) report and quotes Law Society diversity and inclusion adviser Sarah Alonge saying the sector is moving in the right direction.

Lasting power of attorney
The Gazette picks up on our concerns about the lasting power of attorney reforms. I. Stephanie Boyce said: "Our overarching concern is the consultation fails to address how the proposals will work for those who cannot access a digital service; nor does it address the need to ensure that the role of the certificate provider works within a digital process as was intended when the Mental Capacity Act 2005 was passed."
