Managing Environmental Risk in Property Transactions & Asbestos in the Conveyancing Process

4.00pm:   Registration and refreshments

 

4.30pm:   The first hour of this seminar will cover:-

* contaminated land liabilities, with a focus on the Part 2A regime

* Law Society guidance

* the role that environmental searches have to play in risk management; and

* what to do when a search indicates that there may be a problem

 

5.30pm:    The second hour of this seminar will:-

* examine the background to asbestos and its impact

* explore what an (ACM) asbestos containing material is

* review the regulations relating to asbestos

* ensure delegates gain an understanding of the surveys; and

* examine costs and how to order

 

6.30pm:     Close

 

The course is predominantly aimed at commercial conveyancers, however residential conveyancers will also benefit from this session. It is graded as Introductory.
