![]() Ever since the YLS transferred its library collection to the College of Law’s York Centre in 1989, YLS members have had access (reference only) to the College's library. The library, enlarged and refurbished in 2004 to a very high standard, contains a wide range of practitioner texts and collections covering many practice areas. Please note that due to restrictions contained in its educational license the College is unable to provide access to its online texts and legal research databases. Photocopying (self-service) is permitted only for judicial proceedings. The library is conveniently situated on the Bishopthorpe Road, just south of York racecourse and The College has plenty of free parking. Access to the Library for YLS Members is available Monday to Thursday 09.00 – 17.00 only and Friday 09.00 - 16.30 only. It is advisable to make a visitor appointment in advance. On arrival at College, you will be required to sign-in at Reception and to provide proof of your YLS membership. To make a visitor appointment, or if you have any queries about the service (e.g the availability of a particular text), please contact the Library on 01483 216169 or via email on This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it We hope that you are able to take advantage of this excellent benefit for YLS members and would like to offer our thanks to Paul Aber, Principal of The College of Law, and the library team for their support. |
