Collaborative Trained Family Lawyers
Uniquely in the UK, the specialist family lawyers group, Resolution, has set up a group of collaborative lawyers, who are trained and skilled in helping people benefit from the collaborative approach to resolving family disputes.
The collaborative approach is designed for couples who genuinely seek a fair solution, and want to minimise the pain of family breakdown. Each person appoints their own lawyer but instead of conducting negotiations between the client and their partner by letter or phone, the client and their respective lawyers all meet together to work things out face to face.
Collaborative lawyers sign an agreement with the client which disqualifies them from representing the client in court if the collaborative process breaks down.
